Sharing Our Way in Community Road Show

The NSW Aboriginal Gathering Committee will be conducting Sharing Our Way in Community Road Show in Merimbula on Thursday 24 October 2013 for non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal service providers. Similar events have been successful in the past and this series has been funded by ADHC.

The aim of the one-day conference is:

• To inform non-Aboriginal service providers of the policy principles of the NSW Aboriginal Gathering Committee
• For Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal service providers and workers to share knowledge, and experiences of working together and working with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients.
• To discuss strategies for engaging, accessing and working effectively with Aboriginal people and organisations
• To identify barriers and look at practical strategies to improve service provision and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander older people, people with disabilities and carers.
