Providing safe and appropriate care for care leavers who are, or who are at risk of, homelessness

In this AAG pre-conference workshop we will be exploring appropriate service provision to older care leavers who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

We welcome practitioners and researchers who are interested in knowing more about working with older care leavers experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.  No previous knowledge of experience is required.

It is hoped that this workshop will lead to further collaborative projects that aim to increase knowledge and improve service provision for older care leavers experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

This workshop will be followed by a BBQ with residents at Wintringham Port Melbourne, a specialised service for older people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.  Places for this BBQ are available for a limited number of workshop participants only, so be sure to register soon!  The BBQ will cost $45 per person to cover travel costs, food and non-alcoholic drinks.  Any profit will be donated to Wintringham. Please note that you will be required to register for both the workshop and the site-visit separately. As places for the site visit are limited, not all workshop attendees will be able to attend the site visit.
