NDIS ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND HOME MODIFICATIONS

NDIS Assistive Technology and Home Modifications will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to assess and prepare reporting for AT and Home modifications for NDIS participants. This webinar will break down the jargon and provide attendees with the knowledge to navigate the AT and home modifications space with confidence.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Attendees will have knowledge and skills to assess for and deliver AT and home modification services to NDIS participants.  The webinars will focus on assessment, reporting and sound clinical reasoning to achieve successful outcomes for NDIS participants.   

  • Attendees will be able to identify the four AT classification levels.
  • Attendees will have knowledge and awareness of the NDIS rules and operational guidelines and how they apply to AT and home modifications
  • Attendees will be able to confidently prepare AT and home modifications reporting as per NDIS requirements.
  • Attendees will be able to explain the process for obtaining approval for and making purchase of AT and home modifications.
  • Attendees will be introduced to the process for complex home modifications in the NDIS.

PRESENTER

Sarah Collison has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 16 years in a broad range of clinical settings including rehabilitation, injury management, health, medico-legal and disability.  Having worked for providers servicing the NDIS since 2013, Sarah has now established her own successful private practice on Sydney’s north shore.

Providing a range of services to the NDIS participants, Sarah has developed extensive expertise and knowledge of the scheme and its requirements.  Navigating the NDIS and understanding its inner workings has become a passion for Sarah as has the training and supervision of other OT’s working in the space.

This webinar will be run on the Zoom Webinar Platform. Registrants will be sent separate login details a few days prior to the webinar. To run Zoom you will need to download the software, access to fast internet speed and access to a PC or laptop with video and sound capabilities. If you have questions regarding the system requirements please visit the Zoom website.
