This dynamic event has been organised in response to the increasing levels of unspent funds in Home Care Packages. At Lorraine Poulos and Associates we believe it is as a result of:
Providers identifying they may have a limited menu of service offerings thereby limiting the choice for consumers
Consumers/others not understanding the intent of the HCP program and how services should be tailored to the identified needs by ACAT
Skills training needed with staff not being competent/confident enough to 'design' a package of services with consumers/others
Limited innovation in service offerings
Recognition that with higher acuity levels of consumers the identification of the clinical care needs of consumers is vitally important
The seminar will include tips and examples of what others are doing and the importance of marketing your service offerings and adapting to the changing competitive environment. It will look at the legalislation requirements and how to include clinical care in HCPs.
