You are invited to the Disability Innovation Institute’s first Research Seminar event of 2019, hosted by the Disability Innovation Institute, School of Education and the Children and Youth Research Network (CYRN).
At this seminar, Dr Liz Tilley, from Open University (UK), will explore new developments in inclusive research for adults and young people with intellectual disabilities, examining innovative and interdisciplinary methods that are being deployed in a number of UK based research projects.
Liz will explore how adults and young people with the most complex needs can be supported to participate in research, and the ways in which this can encourage us to think differently about disciplinary underpinnings and what might constitute 'data' in such projects.
Other speakers:
Professor Leanne Dowse, Disability Innovation Institute
Professor Iva Strnadová, School of Education and Disability Innovation Institute
Dr Kate Bishop, Children and Youth Research Network
