Clinical Care in the Home - Webinar

This Webinar is designed for those who provide Aged and Disability in-home care. What we have discovered is that most providers are giving 'good' care however may need reassurance or confirmation about what is required to provide 'safe' clinical care. This is particularly important if you are subcontracting to others or if your organisation is providing subcontracted services.

What will you learn?

  1. How to manage high prevalent risks e.g. falls, medication incidents, dementia
  2. How to use technology to better monitor consumer's health
  3. How to engage consumers in their health care plans
  4. What training and competency testing is required to provide 'safe care'

There will be input from Nurse Practitioner Jacki Culver about how to make the most of technology in the home setting and what are the most important changes to monitor.

Lorraine Poulos RN, FCMSA will review high prevalent risks in home care to assist you in having the necessary responses in place to clinical adverse events should they occur.

Consumer Engagement specialist Anna Millicer will provide tips on how to involve consumers in their care planning and service delivery.

The Webinar will be especially helpful to non-clinicians and providers who do not directly employ clinicians such as Registered Nurses.
