Clinical Care and Quality in Home Care Seminar

The Royal Commission into Aged Care has highlighted the need for skilled competent staff when looking after a consumer's health care.

Maddocks legal firm will provide an overview of what is relevant for home care providers in the Royal Commission's findings. Attendees will be encouraged to think about the changes that may be required in their service models to meet the clinical needs of consumers via robust clinical auditing.

This seminar will provide attendees with practical, easy to implement ideas and strategies in their workplace in the area of clinical care provision.

Providers are now required to demonstrate via the Aged Care Quality Standards how they:

  1. provide safe clinical care
  2. ensure staff are trained and competent
  3. involve consumers and others in care provision
  4. implement clinical governance
  5. document and refer when clinical care is required

This seminar will provide you with many resources and tools. There will be industry expert speakers to provide additional advice and experience.

There will be a strong focus on what EVIDENCE might be required during an audit by the ACQSC assessors. A USB with extensive resources will be provided to all attendees.
