"The Four Pillars of the NSW Health System" A live webcast.

The health system in NSW has undergone significant changes in governance arrangements over the past  12 – 24  months.

Responding to the recommendations from the Garling Review, there is now in place the “Four Pillars” -  seen as important sources of expertise for the health system –

1. the Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC);
2. the reformed Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI);
3. the Bureau of Health Information (BHI) and
4. the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI).

During this webcast the Chief Executives/Deputy Chief Executives of these four “pillars” in NSW will reflect on the health system as a whole and give you a taste of  

• what to expect as these organisations rollout their action plans to build a more effective and joined up health system;
• how they will overcome the inherent potentials for duplication and gaps between them and the Ministry;
• how they will work together, not separately; and,
• how they will improve health outcomes and promote innovation
