How Hot is TOO Hot?

Given that Controlling Domestic Hot Water Temperatures Kidsafe (1997) says that for children...hot water of the following temperatures causes major burns.


60° C major burn in 1 second


55° C major burn in 10 seconds


50° C major burn in 5 minutes
