Hi. I have a client who has been recommended to have salt baths to assist with pain post a bowel cancer operation. My client has looked into the "sitz bath" options for over the toilet but would prefer to explore the option of a normal bath first. He is 77 and, like most elderly people, has not had a bath in many years due to inability to get out of the bath once in there. We are looking at putting rails in to assist with transfers but are unsure if there is an option to raise the depth of the bath under the clients bottom to prevent him having to lower himself all the way into the bath. We have discussed the option of the powered seats but they are quite expensive and I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any more simple solutions?

Any suggestions are most welcome. Thanks.
